April 8, 2020

UPDATE: At Okabe Clinic in Nagasaka-machi, it was announced that there are three male doctors and a female patient in her 60s infected with the virus. One of the doctors attended a meeting in Gifu prefecture on March 27 and visited a night club where a corona virus cluster happened. He worked as normal at the clinic until April 3. Kanazawa City's health center is interviewing all 250 employees and 280 patients at the clinic to find out who has any contact with the infected doctors.
It was also announced that one of the infected people who was found positive on the test on April 4 is a male international student from China in his 30s. He was making frequent visits to a laboratory at Kanazawa University Hospital. Ten people including doctors who has contacted him recently are ordered to stay home. 

April 7, 2020

Ishikawa prefecture announced that 10 more people got positive on COVID-19 test. Now we have 55 infected. Some of the new infected people work in a medical institution. They are going to give more details tomorrow.

April 6, 2020

Ishikawa prefecture announced that 2 more people got positive on COVID-19 test. Now we have 45 infected. One of them is a man in his 40s and lives in Kanazawa. He lives with the governor who is already found positive on COVID-19 test. Another person is also a man in his 20s and lives in Nonoichi. He attended a meeting on March 27 which had an attendee from Tokyo.

April 6, 2020

Ishikawa prefecture announced that 11 more people got positive on COVID-19 test. Now we have 43 infected. Out of 11 people, 9 lives in Kanazawa, 1 live in Kawakita, and 1 live in Nakanoto. As far as we know, 3 of them live with patients already confirmed positive yesterday. 1 of them had a meal together with a confirmed patient.

The city mayor, Yukiyoshi Yamano announced that public elementary schools and junior high schools will be closed from April 13 to May 1. The entrance ceremony and the start of term ceremony will be held as scheduled on April 7. After that, from April 8 to 10, They will have classes to prepare for the school closure. 

April 5, 2020

Ishikawa prefecture announced that 8 more people got positive on COVID-19 test. Now we have 32 people got infected with the virus. Two of them are drivers for the Hokutetsu Bus group which runs the most of city busses. Out of 32, 5 people has already recovered and left the hospital. However, the number of beds in the designated medical institutions for infectious disease is only 20 in Ishikawa Prefecture. The prefectural government is considering and making arrangements to have infected patients in non-designated medical institutions.
